the story of

Mackenzie + Sam

Is there anything better than a wedding at The Maker Hotel in Hudson, NY? After this day, I can confidently say, no, no there's not. A few things you need to know about this day: The bride wore a vintage dress and it was the first item she purchased for the wedding. The groom was fondly known at work, where these two met, as 'Hot Sam' and now I'm sure he's officially going to be called that by everyone they know as it was explained in detail during their vows. The bride mentioned the patriarchy in her vows, which had me silently cheering from behind the lens. They didn't have a sit down dinner. They mingled through cocktail hour, mingled through dinner with passed plates and most guests stood for the ceremony and all stood for the toasts and as you know, I firmly support more mingling, going against tradition and it always means better photos! Cheers to these newlyweds, to doing things your own way, to standing up and making the world better and for so many more happy years together!
