This Basilica Hudson wedding was amazing from start to finish! Kevin got ready in the adorable downtown Hudson area and Jaimee was just a few streets away in a beautiful airbnb. They both had special details incorporated in to their outfits and items from Kevins collar embroidery saying ‘I do’ to their custom vow books to Jaimee’s mom making her a dance shawl with fabric from her own wedding dress. The details made for truly special memories and a huge one was as Jaimee was about to get ready. She had just her mom in the room with her to help her put her dress on and this gave them a special and intimate few moments alone. They hugged and Jaimee’s mom looked at her and said “It’s been a pleasure” and that was the end of my dry eyes (and Jaimee’s too)! What a sweet moment and message from mother to daughter on her wedding day as she prepares to go meet her future husband.

Once she was ready we ventured a few minutes down the road to Basilica Hudson and saw the stunning transformation that they’d created in such a gorgeous space! They enjoyed a first look together and then prepared for their ceremony. As Jaimee came down the aisle, just as she approached Kevin, her veil caught on a lantern that was framing the aisle and there was a loud shatter of glass and some amazing reactions from Jaimee, her parents and Kevin. Real moments like that lend some truth to the day, to seeing how they both were able to roll with a moment of unexpected and have it be filled with laughter and easing of nerves made an unplanned moment, perfectly perfect! The rest of the night at this Basilica Hudson wedding was just as perfect as the could be and it was truly my pleasure to capture Jaimee and Kevin’s wedding day memories and the joy and celebration that surrounded them.
